- They are currently seeking software developers nationwide to participate in a new study about Coding Languages.
- This will be a multi-phase online study.
- Phase 1:
— This will be a 90-120 minute online “kickoff” webcam interview to discuss the logistics of the study. - Phase 2:
— You will be required to install software provided by Microsoft and other open-source providers.
— The software is free of charge.
— You must use the software “setup” for the coding tasks.
— You cannot improvise your own setup. - Phase 3:
— This phase entails coding tasks.
— The goal of this phase is to observe how developers code in a particular language.
— You will be asked to record yourself as you complete four basic coding exercises.
— Each exercise will last between 15-30 minutes each. - Phase 4:
— This will be a post-task questionnaire.
— In total, there are about 10-20 questions. - Phase 5:
— This will be a 1-hour debriefing interview. - You must commit to the entirety of this study in order to qualify for the payout.
- All invited respondents will receive $400 as a thank you for their time.
