- The study is run by Exponent, a US-based scientific consulting firm, on behalf of a consumer technology company.
- The purpose of the study is to collect menstrual health data on people who are trying to get pregnant.
- This will be a multi-phase study.
- Phase 1:
— This will be a 90-minute remote enrollment and training session. - Phase 2:
— This will be a 3-9 month at-home data collection period, depending on your menstrual cycles and whether you become pregnant.
— During the “at-home” data collection, you would need to wear a smartwatch every day for at least 8 hours while awake and at least 6 hours while sleeping.
— You will also need to perform at-home ovulation and pregnancy tests for around 20 days per month.
— Each test involves collecting a urine sample.
— Each day you will need to complete survey tasks and log information on a smartphone, which will take about 15 minutes. - Depending on if you qualify and how many portions of the study you complete, the total incentive may be $100 for completing the virtual enrollment and training session, up to $60 per week during the “at-home” data collection period (up to $2,160) and up to $460 in additional bonuses across the entire study, depending on if you stay compliant with study requirements for the duration of the study and complete all the study activities in which you are selected to enroll.
